Program Logo

The Rural Women Changemakers Program (RWCP), a two-week accelerated program, aims to empower women aged 22-30 residing and working in rural areas, fostering their self-development and enhancing leadership skills. Participants not only cultivate competencies in leadership, communication, negotiation, media relations, and time management but also gain insights into human rights, gender equality, project management, and environmental issues. Moreover, the program offers a unique opportunity for participants to familiarize themselves with Mongolia's key development sectors, engage with sector leaders, and establish valuable connections. The Zorig Foundation covers accommodation, meals, and transportation to and from Ulaanbaatar throughout the program.

FAQ

The program is open to women aged 22-30 living and working in rural communities, with a strong desire for self-development, a passion for learning new things, and the availability to fully engage in the program for two weeks in Ulaanbaatar.

Women from all professional fields are eligible, and current employment status is not a specific requirement for participation.

To apply for the program, complete an online application. Successful applicants proceed to a telephone interview.

The selection process involves an initial review of written applications, followed by interviews with shortlisted candidates. Those who achieve the highest scores during this process will be nominated as program participants.

A total of 21 young individuals, each representing one of the 21 provinces of Mongolia, will be selected to participate in the program.

Mission trip expenses are not covered; however, the program covers hotel accommodation, food, and travel expenses in Ulaanbaatar for the duration of the program.

The program is tailored for recently graduated women living and working in their local communities, focusing on young professionals eager to cultivate leadership skills early in their careers.
